Book Keeping

Every charity/non-profit organisation has a legal obligation to keep records of their transactions.

There is no set format that must be adhered to but at the very least records of all sales, expenses and purchases should be kept. Unfortunately if a charity fails to keep adequate records then they can be fined.

Community Hertsmere offers a full bookkeeping service. This can be short term cover (eg. for staff sickness) or a long term arrangement.

There are several advantages to using our bookkeeping service:

  • No worries about holiday/sickness cover
  • Fully experienced, qualified, staff with a full understanding of the local charity sector
  • Every hour you pay for is a fully productive hour
  • We can increase or decrease the hours, each week, depending upon your requirements (e.g. month and etc.)

Community Hertsmere is able to offer book-keeping support in a number of ways.

This can range from temporary support due to illness or a break in employment of your bookkeeper through to a fully managed service.
